Characters@Work

An episodic approach to employee engagement and change management campaigns.

Everything has changed. Your workforce is dispersed, unconnected to your culture, and bored with the status quo.

What if you could engage with your employees in memorable, actionable ways and affect positive changes, morale, and attitudes? After all, what is employee engagement—other than a buzz term—if you don’t, or can’t, actually engage with your employees?

Consider something completely different. Something organic that feels like part of the everyday workday. Something created to speak directly, authentically, and meaningfully to your organization. We’re talking a steady stream of engagement that’s built to last.

Characters@Work is a proven, episodic communications and engagement method with three simple, but key stages:

1. Immersion

We’ll lead you and your team through a series of engaging sessions to understand who you are and what matters. (And, YES, there will be donuts). We’ll put team dynamics to work, group members will bond and we’ll define your story. It’s kind of like therapy, but more so an event with momentum and energy that marks the beginning of an ongoing narrative for your team.

2. Characterization

Armed with tons of knowledge about your industry, the gift of research and insights plus deep understanding of your audience’s pain points and what matters to them, we’ll develop campaigns full of personality and relevance. The goal is to develop a plan that speaks to wide diversity of your organization.

3. Saturation

Just when you think the fun part’s over. The story begins through a rich experience designed to engage your audience over time. Though episodic content, we’ll reach out to your audience through internal communication tools. And since this isn’t an eat and run campaign, we’ll adapt the narrative as we get feedback and response data.

It’s a fact.

Episodic campaigns are a fierce combination of ART and SCIENCE—pictures and illustrations engage the cerebral cortex located in the occipital lobe, the part of the brain responsible for processing visual information. It’s a fact that almost 50% of your brain is involved in visual processing. And as humans, we engage with and relate to what we can see ourselves in.
